Learn about the traditional Native American method of companion planting corn, beans, and squash to nurture a symbiotic relationship that encourages the crops and their surrounding soil to thrive.

Join us to grow food, skills, and friendships at our Arbury Growing Cafe! ☕

Every other Thursday from 12-3pm the Akeman Community Centre is home to a drop-in Growing Cafe run in partnership between Earth & Mind and Cambridge Sustainable Food. Anyone is welcome to come along and enjoy some FREE soup, cake, and hot drinks, join in with gardening activities under the guidance of an experienced facilitator, or just relax and enjoy some sunshine and good company in the growing space.

As well as hands-on gardening activities we also have a range of books and nature journals for quiet reflection and learning, as well as seed swaps so you can grow your own at home.
